We think its very important that the meals you have whilst on tour are memorable. Early in May we were out exploring the Canadian Rockies and making sure that we were going to the right properties.

One of our lunchtime stops that was a definite hit was a hidden gem called the Hop “n” Hog, it is situated between Jasper and Kamloops in Clearwater. It is a family  business run  by Will Robinson, it is housed in a beautiful log cabin , has a wonderful home baked bread, its own smoke house and soon to be own brewed beer.  They focus on local produce paired with local wines and beers makes this a must lunch stop

The staff are ever so friendly and you may not even realise Will’s mum is serving you ( she looks like his sister)  they offer up many local tales of the bears of the areas and so much more

One of the highlights was the house smoked pulled pork roll with the most delightful potato salad and of course paired with the local tasting beer palate goes down a treat ( I was so pleased we were on a small group tour and did not have to drive!)

So come with us to the Canadian Rockies and we will make sure you experience great local food throughout and get to meet the real locals with true  passion for their produce. http://www.hopnhog.ca/index.htm
